University Committee on Information Technology (UCIT) — Fiscal Year 2009
Structure
The members and the chair of UCIT are appointed by the President. The Vice President and Chief Technology Officer serves as an ex officio member of the committee. Ad hoc subcommittees are appointed by the chair, in consultation with the Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, to address specific issues identified by UCIT.
The University Committee on Information Technology (UCIT) is a faculty advisory committee to the Vice President and Chief Technology Officer. Members of UCIT and its subcommittees shall represent the overall University interests.
Purpose
UCIT advises the Vice President and Chief Technology Officer on the deployment of information technology to support the academic programs of the University including the use of computer systems, applications, and networks.
Operating Principles
The committee shall meet at least once each quarter. The subcommittees shall meet as often as needed. The Information Technology organization shall provide staffing for UCIT meetings and support for the activities of the committee.
