The Identity Services team is responsible for the development, testing, and dissemination of architectures, software, and practices in the areas of identity and access management at Northwestern University. This includes the "middleware" software layer between applications and key data services, such as the online directory service, the University’s unified identity management system, and NetID/password authentication services.
Working collaboratively with central units across the University, Identity Services develops standard strategies for:
- Authentication services
- University-wide systems architecture
- Integrated self-service environment
