Canvas at Northwestern

Northwestern is a Canvas Campus!

In 2014-2015, the University embarked on a transition from Blackboard to Canvas. As of fall 2015, all course sites are now on Canvas.

Although the transition is officially over, there are plenty of opportunities to learn more about Canvas and take advantage of all it offers. Students and instructors are encouraged to explore the resources on this site, visit the blog, and sign up for the Canvas Minute —a bi-weekly update on learning, teaching, and technology.

Information on this site will be available through the end of fall quarter 2015.

Building on Canvas

NUIT Faculty Support Services (FSS) supports creativity and innovation in teaching and learning through the incorporation of Canvas and other educational technologies as an integral part of the educational experience at the University.

During the 2015-16 academic year FSS is turning its focus towards building on Canvas as a platform for exploring blended learning and active learning techniques and sharing these with the campus through a variety of workshops, service pilots, public event, and by working closely with several interdisciplinary faculty groups.
