Sr Systems Analyst/Programmer

The Sr. Systems Analyst/Programmer acts as the Sr. Administrator/Integrator,
responsible for assisting in the deployment, maintenance and support of the
Oracle Collaboration Suite, an integrated toolset which includes email,
calendaring, content services, unified messaging, real-time collaboration and
workspaces. The incumbent must be an experienced OCS administrator and
integrator with strong business analysis and technical skills.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Installing, administering and maintaining the Oracle Collaboration Suite
including providing performance tuning and capacity planning production systems;
- Performing application development and integration of various components of
Oracle Collaboration Suite (email, calendar, workspaces);
- Designing Oracle
content and records management systems to integrate with Oracle Collaboration
Suite;
- Providing guidance to clients and coworkers;
- Assisting Datacenter
Administrators and DBA's;
- Assisting with integration of Oracle Collaboration
Suite with SSO/LDAP;
- Training other team members to effect knowledge
transfer of application systems;
- Coordinating with team members on regular
basis and provide documentation and system architecture diagrams;
- Performing
other related duties as required or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or the equivalent
combination of education or training and experience from which comparable skills
can be acquired;
- A minimum of five years experience in professional
information technology environment deploying application software;
- Experience using a systematic approach for problem analysis and resolution
as well as the resourceful evaluation of solution alternatives;
- Ability to
effectively present ideas verbally and in writing;
- Ability to maintain
effective working relationships with a broad cross-section of the University
community;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills;
- A minimum
of five years experience with Oracle Collaboration Suite, (email, calendar,
workspaces), Integration OCS and Oracle Application Servers with SSO/LDAP;
- Application development experience with Oracle and UNIX/LINUX.
Preferred Qualifications
- A minimum of 4-6 years of experience in supporting and managing the following
types of applications software: email, calendaring, document management, records
management, workspace collaboration, real-time collaboration and mobile
collaboration;
- Knowledge of IMAP, P-IAMP, XMPP, web services, and service
oriented architecture.
