Job Summary

The Systems Analyst/Programmer assists in the development, maintenance, and support of the various applications and application suites.  Candidates must be experienced Web services, Java/JEE programmer, and integrator with strong business analysis and technical skills.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Designing, developing and coding web-services for various applications using existing application framework;
  • Developing WSRP portlets for various portal products such as Oracle and weblogic portals;
  • Developing code and deploy Java/J2EE applications to various app servers such as Oracle and Weblogic;
  • Using PL/SQL & SQL languages to query and save content to different databases;
  • Designing and developing Webservices to implement interaction between different systems;
  • Designing and coding applications using Java, JEE and related technologies;
  • Building business process and code using BPEL;
  • Training other team members to effect knowledge transfer of application systems;
  • Coordinating with team members on regular basis and providing documentation and system architecture diagrams;
  • Performing other related duties as required or assigned.
  • Minimum Qualifications

    • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or the equivalent combination of education or training and experience from which comparable skills can be acquired;
    • A minimum of 3 years experience in a professional information technology environment deploying application software;
    • Three years total experience with Java, JEE and related technologies;
    • Three years of experience in implementing webservices;
    • Experience installing, administering, and configuring Oracle Application Servers;
    • SQL and PL/SQL coding skills;
    • Oracle Portal experience including Portlet Development (coding) experience;
    • Experience integrating applications with SSO;
    • Experience of UNIX or LINUX;
    • Experience using a systematic approach for problem analysis and resolution as well as the resourceful evaluation of solution alternatives;
    • Ability to effectively present ideas verbally and in writing. 
    • Preferred Qualifications
    • Strong web-services experience;
    • Strong experience in Java, J2EE and related technologies;
    • Portals and WSRP portlet development;
    • Application servers (Oracle, Web logic etc).
