Academic & Research Technologies (A&RT)
NUIT Academic & Research Technologies employs more than 60 part-time student employees every year. These consultants are divided into several different groups: the Classroom Technology Group which includes the Public Computing Labs, the Smart Classroom and Videoconference support group, and 2East, which includes the Learning Technologies Group and the Northwestern University Advanced Media Production Studio. Students Teaching Students Facilitator (STS)
Students Teaching Students facilitators are responsible for leading one-hour workshops, to teach the basics of a new program, application, or technology to 10-15 students. STS coordinators will schedule the workshops and recruit students. You may be asked to lead the workshop for one quarter or the entire academic year. This is a great opportunity for students who have mastered a technical skill or program to teach fellow students in a paid postion.
