Migrate Eudora Data (Thunderbird-Win)
Follow the steps below to migrate your Eudora messages into Thunderbird for Windows. Instructions below only cover the latest version of Thunderbird we support; instructions for previous versions may be similar, but not exact.
Note: Migrating your Eudora messages may not migrate attachments that are included with those messages. Your attachments will still be accessible though Eudora in the Attachments Folder. If you wish to delete Eudora from your hard drive, you should first archive attachments that you want to save.
Migrating Messages into Thunderbird
Note: If Eudora is configured for using POP, ensure that Eudora is set to NOT check for mail automatically, as well as not leave mail on the server. If you do not, you will have duplicate messages in Thunderbird. Please review Configuring Eudora for Windows to use POP to make sure that the Leave mail on server checkbox is unchecked.
- Quit out of Eudora.
- Launch Thunderbird.

From the Tools menu, select Import…. A window similar to the following will appear:

Select Mail, then click Next >. A window similar to the following will appear:

Select Eudora, then click Next >. A window similar to the following will appear:

- Click Finish.
Migrating the Address Book into Thunderbird

From the Tools menu, select Import…. A window similar to the following will appear:

Select Address Books, then click Next >. A window similar to the following will appear:

- Click Finish.
