Student E-mail Forwarding
Official University e-mail may be forwarded to a non-University e-mail account. However, NUIT does not recommend forwarding e-mail by students due to security and data integrity concerns.
As an active student of the University, there may be instances where you will need to forward University e-mail. Follow the steps under the appropriate heading to forward your e-mail.
Students with @u.northwestern.edu or @nlaw.northwestern.edu accounts
- Please visit the Help Center for forwarding instructions.
Students, including Feinberg, Kellogg, and Law, with centrally hosted mailboxes (your name@northwestern.edu)
- Go to Edit Your Directory Information.
- Click the View/Edit Your Information button.
- Click Modify to the right of the Mailbox field.
- Add the new e-mail address.
- Click the Change button.
Note: A forwarding e-mail address cannot be changed after a NetID is deactivated.
