Collaboration Services: Adding a Delegated Mailbox in Outlook 2011

In order to view additional mailboxes in Outlook 2011, other than your own, NUIT must add your account with permissions to that mailbox. Once the permissions have been added, the following instructions will add the additional mailbox to your Outlook profile.

  1. With Outlook 2011 open, click on the Tools menu at the top of the screen. A window similar to the following will appear.

  2. Choose Accounts. A window similar to the following will appear.

  3. Select your Exchange account, then click on the Advanced button. A window similar to the following will appear.

  4. Go to the Delegates tab.
  5. Click the plus (+) sign under "People I am a delegate for:” A window similar to the following will appear.

    Select User window, the desired user's name is entered in the Find box, and matches are displayed below arranged by name, e-mail address, or job title

  6. Search for the individual you are trying to add as a delegate by first or last name. You can also search by e-mail address if necessary.
  7. Once you have found their account, select their name and click OK.
