Videoconferencing Service Upgrades

Have you attended a videoconference at Wieboldt Hall room 421 on the Chicago campus this year? When you get an invitation, be sure to attend so you can be part of the most advanced videoconferencing experience available on campus.
After several months of extensive renovations, covering everything from new carpet to new high definition equipment, Wieboldt Hall's room 421 is open and hosting events again. New equipment includes:
- New plasma screens
- High definition videoconferencing equipment
- Improved instructor podium
- Crestron touch screen controls
- High resolution document camera
- New DVD player
- High definition video cameras for the instructor view and the audience view
- Wireless microphones (one hand-held and one lapel)
In addition to Wieboldt’s upgrades, the NUIT Videoconferencing Web site now features a new scheduling system. The updated interface enables better access and functionality for videoconferencing information, including:

- Scheduling capabilities
- Getting started information
- Recommendations for videoconferencing hardware/software
- Capabilities for data sharing (e.g. sharing PowerPoint in a videoconference)
- Recording and archiving a videoconference
