Smart Classroom Training

Training is encouraged for faculty regardless of prior training or Smart Classroom experience. Although there is a standard classroom model, hardware and setup sometimes changes from room-to-room due to upgrades that are implemented between quarters. Training can also be especially helpful for faculty who plan to use a laptop computer or want to become more familiar with the available technology.

University faculty can schedule one-on-one training and equipment orientation sessions for Smart Classroom use by submitting a training request form. To maximize Smart Classroom training resources, a minimum of one week advance notice is requested.

• Request training for an Evanston Smart Classroom.
• Request training for a Chicago Smart Classroom.

In addition, to individual training, a step-by-step user guide may also be available at the podium in each of the Evanston and Chicago classrooms for instructor reference.
