Tech MG51 and the Library Mac Lab may be reserved by members of the Northwestern Community for instructional purposes and meetings. The process for reserving a computer lab is dependent upon its use.
In all cases, the Office of the Registrar receives computer lab room reservation requests through the University’s Room & Event System (RES). Videoconferencing sessions must be reserved through NUIT. Visit Videoconferencing Services at Northwestern for more information.
Reserve for Classroom Instruction
Instructors must go through their Department Contact with requests to reserve a computer lab for regular class meetings and other academic events.
All computer labs are scheduled by the Office of the Registrar as part of the Registrar's quarterly Room Request proofing process. (Class Schedule Proofs are sent to Department Contacts each quarter.)
Reserve for Ad Hoc Meetings
All other non-instructional (ad hoc) requests must be made through the University’ Room & Event System (RES) at least one business day in advance. A confirmation e-mail will be sent to the person requesting the computer lab once the reservation is complete.
Step-by-step instructions on How to Submit an AD HOC Reservation Request are available through the Office of the Registrar’s tip sheet (pdf).
Requests are processed on a first come, first serve basis after the start of each quarter.
