Where are my bookmarks?

The old bookmark menu that appeared in a column on the left has been removed. To see your bookmarks, click on the star right below the Depot logo in the upper left corner of the browser window. You may select any bookmark from the popdown list, or select Manage Bookmarks to change, remove, or add a new bookmark.

How do I make a ticket for a file?

Go to the share wizard by selecting Share on the navigation bar. Type in the person's name and select it from the popdown menu if the menu appears. If the person is not in the menu list, type in their email address. Click “Next” and decide what privileges should be granted to the person. Hit next again if you wish to generate an email to the person you want to share with, or hit “Finish” if you just want sharing to be turned on. Recipients who have Depot accounts will be given access to the file through the normal permissions process, and will also be given the option to immediately create a bookmark to the file or a subscription. Those who do not have Depot accounts will receive a ticket, allowing them to retrieve the file.

How do I modify sharing?

Select the file you would like to modify, and then click on Manage in the navigation bar. Select permissions from the menu. Once you have finished selecting the permissions, hit Apply to save changes.

How do I share a file or directory? / What happened to my share icons?

The share icons have been replaced by a “wizard” that is invoked when you click the Share icon on the taskbar. To manage sharing, select the file or directory, and then click the Share icon. Follow the prompts provided by the wizard. If the person you wish to share an item with has a Depot account, his or her name and email address will pop up in the Add Users box of the wizard once a few characters are typed, and the person will be provided access via a link to the file. If the person does not have a Depot account, enter the person's email address in the Add Users box, and they will receive a ticket to the file or directory. A ticket is a web link or URL that can be clicked on or pasted from an email message, delivering the file to the recipient.

How do I go back to my documents listing while my screen is displaying a configuration or other functional operation?

There is a Cancel button in the lower left corner of most operation screens which will bring you back to your file listing. The Document Manager text that often appears on the purple bar at the top will also bring you to your file listing.

Why is the toolbar grayed out?

You have not selected a file to perform the operation on, or have selected multiple files rather than a singe file. Use a check box to select a file.

How do I select multiple files?

Use the checkboxes to the left of the filenames to select multiple files.

How do I email a file to a colleague?

Select the file, and then click on email in the navigation bar. Enter the person's email address or just their name if you know they have a depot account. Click "Send" to send the email. If the person has a depot account, the permissions on that file will be changed to give them access. If the person does not have a depot account, they will be sent a ticket.
