To honor Gary’s vision of building a future where technology is available to everyone, a Gary Greenberg Technology for Children Scholarship Fund has been established by Northwestern University Information Technology.
With contributions from family, friends, and colleagues, the fund is administered through Northwestern's Center for Talent Development (CTD). The scholarship allows for tuition assistance, and a laptop, if appropriate, for a student or students enrolled in a technology class in the CTD summer programs.
Young students will have the opportunity to take these special courses on Northwestern's Evanston campus and prepare for advanced tracks of study in high school advanced tracks and success in higher education. The program also provides increase social support for high achievement through student role models, teachers, other adults and intellectual peers.
To be considered, students must demonstrate the ability to work beyond their current grade level and to succeed in an intensive summer course; be interested in and qualified for technology courses, and demonstrate financial need.
