Handset Cords

A handset cord is the coiled cord plugged in between the telephone and the receiver. The standard length cord stretches to 7 feet. Optional handset cords are 12 feet or 25 feet long.

Cost

Consult the NU Service and Equipment Rates Charges (PDF).

Features/Options

12-foot and 25-foot handset cords are available as options. If you order one of these cord lengths when you order your phone, you will pay for the cord only. If you order an optional length cord once your phone is installed, there will be an additional labor charge.

To order a longer handset cord, an authorized departmental representative must contact User Services with information identifying the telephone set, location, contact person, and Chart of Account number to which to bill the one-time charge. The only requirement is an existing NUIT telephone.
