Large Classroom Installations

The use of videoconferencing systems in large rooms can be quite complex. However, for large rooms, the design usually warrants the use of a rack mounted videoconferencing unit. We recommend the Polycom Model 400. It has all of the capabilities that the model 128 has except it does not have a camera, and is a rack-mounted unit. It does have the capability to stream the videoconference and does have the capability to provide a limited MCU capability, but we do not see these as very valuable additions to the model 128. The cost is about $8,000.
