Change a WINS Configuration to DNS
- On your desktop, right-click My Network Places, then select Properties.
- Right-click Local Area Connection, then select Properties to open the
Local Area Connection Properties window.
- Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), then click Properties to open the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties window.
- Click Advanced... to open the Advanced TCP/IP Settings window.
- Select the WINS tab.
- Under WINS addresses, in order of use, select the IP address(es) shown, then click Remove.
