Northwestern University Policy on Satellite Delivered Services

Audience:

All members of the Northwestern Community and users of the University network.

Policy Statement:

The purpose of this policy is to provide the best possible quality of satellite downlink and uplink services to the University community.

Installation, engineering, maintenance, and operation of satellite downlink and uplink services serving on any property owned or tenanted by the University, shall be coordinated and meet the standards of quality set forth by NUIT.

Satellite services will be primarily installed as a central resource, providing utility to the largest community possible. Specialized applications will be reviewed as required.
