Stop Online Harassment

Unfortunately, one of the side effects of the supposed anonymity of the Internet is that there are some people who think they can harass others and get away with it. Fortunately, it's not difficult to track them down.

If you're being harassed by e-mail, by telephone, or by someone using a chat tool, the first step is to tell the harasser to stop. If possible, save a copy of the harassing material and your request to stop it.

If you continue to receive offensive electronic communications, contact University Police at (847) 491-3524 or (312) 503-8314. The University and UP want to help you stop the harassment.
