EndNote for Students

EndNote enables easy organization of bibliographic references and images, and creates bibliographies and figure lists instantly.

EndNote X1 comes with the NU Toolkit, including customized connections and filters that work with Northwestern's library databases. Details about the NU Toolkit can be found on the University Library Web site.

IMPORTANT: EndNote is not compatible with Office 2008 for Mac. Visit EndNote directly for more information.

• Visit NUIT's software provider to download EndNote X1.
• If you are off campus, authenticate with VPN before downloading.
• Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary: To download, please contact either your departmental technical representative or NUIT Site-licensed Software.

Install and License

• Installation is available for Windows and Mac.
• Licenses are available for current Northwestern faculty and staff for personal or professional use, and can be installed on personal machines.
• EndNote X1 is compatible with PPC and Intel-based Macs.
• EndNote X1 for Windows has already been patched and is at version X1.0.1. Visit the EndNote Web site for more information and patch downloads.
