Mathematica for Faculty and Staff
Mathematica software analyzes data sets, solves complex differential equations, and develops an entire solution for fast, high-precision numeric and symbolic computation. Mathematica also provides 2D and 3D data visualization and programming capabilities.

Once your license order is approved, you will be e-mailed instructions on how to install Mathematica.
- Payment for a Mathematica license must be received through a CUFS account.
- Staff and faculty holders of FY08 Mathematica 6.0.1 licenses may e-mail your NetID and Order Number to questions@software.northwestern.edu to obtain a free upgrade.

Software must be installed on University-owned computers.
- Only single licenses are available.

The license period for Mathematica coincides with the University's fiscal year, beginning on September 1 and expiring on August 31. Those who purchase a FY0X license will be eligible to receive free upgrades until the end of that fiscal year, August 31 by e-mailing their NetID and prior proof of purchase or order number to questions@software.northwestern.edu.

Home use provision — This software can be used on personally owned computers by licensed users for university purposes.

Users can request a home use kit by forwarding the "order closed" e-mail from NUIT Site Licensing to Math at Home. Please include delivery address and requested OS version (Windows, Mac, Linux, or Unix).
