Installing Symantec Norton AntiVirus for Macintosh

Step-by-step instructions on how to install Symantec Norton AntiVirus for Macintosh.

1. Click the download link on the Symantec Norton AntiVirus for Macintosh page. When the "File Download" window appears, click the Save button and select a folder where the installer file will be downloaded. After the download is complete, double-click the nunav-installer.sit file. A window similar to the following will appear:

3. Click Continue. A window similar to the following will appear:

6. Select a drive in which to install the software, then click Continue. A window similar to the following will appear:

7. Click Upgrade. A window similar to the following will appear:

   1. Type a user name that has administrative privileges in the Name: field.
   2. Type the password for the user name entered above in the Password or phrase: field.
8. Click OK. If you are successful, A window similar to the following will appear:

9. Click Continue Installation. A window similar to the following will appear:

10. Click Yes. Once the installation is complete, a window similar to the following will appear:

11. Click Logout.
