SRS Software and Hardware Installation Instructions

This page provides installation instructions for SRS hardware and software for your PC or Mac.

Please Note: If you upgrade your software to TurningPoint 2008 or Mac 1.1 and remain using the RF receiver and clicker, you will need to update your receiver code. When you plug in your RF receiver, you will receive the message: "Receiver:[receiver id] is not licensed to work with TurningPoint 2008." You will need to update your RF receiver.

Receiver Update Instructions

1. Click on Tools and then Upgrade TurningPoint Receiver.
2. Select Upgrade License over the Web.
3. Click Next.
4. Type the following license code into the license code area: 8lavmvnatz0wcaiy.
5. Click Next.
6. Click Finish.

TurningPoint 2008 Installation Instructions for PC

Note : Please uninstall any older versions of the TurningPoint software before installing newer versions.

1. Download and unzip the setup.zip file.
2. Double-click the setup.exe file. Depending on your computer's configuration, you may be guided through a .NET framework installation. This is a required step in the process. Click Next or OK as prompted to continue. Once the .NET framework installation is successful you will be directed to the TurningPoint installation .
3. If you are not prompted to go through the above .NET framework installation, click Run.
4. VISTA USERS ONLY: Click Continue in the "program needs your permission to continue" dialog box.
5. Click Next.
6. Select I accept the terms of the license agreement.
7. Click Next.
8. Enter your name and Northwestern University as the Organization.
9. Select Anyone who uses this computer (all users).
10. Click Next.
11. Click Install.
12. Click the Launch TurningPoint 2008 checkbox .
13. Click Finish.

TurningPoint Anywhere v1.1 2008 Instructions for Mac

Note : Please uninstall any older versions of the TurningPoint software before installing newer versions.

1. Download the mac_setup.dmg file and save it on your computer.
2. Double-click the mac_setup.dmg file.
3. Double-click TurningPoint Installer.mpkg in the window that opens.
4. Click Continue on the Welcome to the TurningPoint Installer screen.
5. Select the Location or click Continue.
6. Click Install.
7. Click Close.
