Northwestern's newest online tool featuring several of the University's Web-enabled enterprise services, The NUPortal, is now available for University faculty, staff, and students.
The NUPortal provides a personalized, role-based, single point of access to the online services that are essential to academic, research, and administrative work at Northwestern. The tool is available through a secure, user-friendly online interface.
ServicePoint, the project team for The NUPortal, began collaborative planning, project management, and development in 2006; they are consistently working to add more of Northwestern's Web-enabled enterprise services to The NUPortal.
Impact on End User |
Northwestern faculty, staff, and students can use The NUPortal for easy access to many of the online systems of the University — enhancing access to, but not replacing the Northwestern home page and other service-based Web sites.
The NUPortal is customized for each user's role at the University, as well as their personal preferences, all available with a single NetID and password login. Features of The NUPortal include:
- An intuitive interface that mirrors the look and feel of many University Web sites
- The ability to select the services viewable on The NUPortal
- Search features that enable users to find Northwestern people and content
- A news area that provides alerts to users about topics and services of interest
