Use Yammer to Collaborate with Other 'Cats at Northwestern

Yammer is a new internal social networking tool at Northwestern that is already being used by schools and departments across the University. This includes a public Northwestern Information Technology group that anyone can join to learn more about IT at Northwestern.

Yammer offers collaborative features include the ability to reply to posts, tag colleagues in conversations, share files, create polls, create and search for topic tags, and much more. Yammer also fully integrates with SharePoint, and a link to Yammer has recently been added to the top line navigation of Northwestern Share pages.

End User Impact

Go to the Northwestern Yammer login page and login with your NetID and NetID password to get started! Yammer offers features similar to Facebook, but is only accesible with an active NetID. Yammer groups can be created by anyone, and can be made either private or public to the entire University community.
