Webcasting Rates
The price for Webcasting an event will vary depending upon the complexity of the production and length of the event. A basic outline in order to assist in budgeting is included below:

Half day shoot consists of up to 2.5 hours of program coverage and includes 1.5 hours of set-up/tear down time.
Three-quarter day shoot consists of up to 4 hours of program coverage and includes 2 hours of set-up/tear down time.
Full day shoot consists of up to 5.5 hours of program coverage and include 2.5 hours of set-up/tear down time.
The above estimates include cameras, switchers, monitors, audio, video crew, encoding crew, crew transportation, NUIT webcasting fee, and one master DV tape for NU archival purposes. An additional charge of $50 per camera per hour will be charged to capture individual camera video (if requested).
Post Production
- Editing services are available at a charge of $125/hour.
- A charge of $250/program hour will be charged for post digitization and program clean up to include editing and removal of blank program time.
Content Hosting
- Northwestern will host Webcast content on a streaming server for at least one year and archive a master tape in the University Library.
