Web Publishing Services

Northwestern offers a variety of Web publishing services and resources for the University community. Many schools and departments offer similar services; check with your area administrators.

Course Management System

Academic & Research Technologies' Course Management System is a Web-based learning, discussion, and class administration tool. Course sites are easily designed, customized, and secured with a NetID. Featues include individual student pages, quiz and poll administration, and online discussions.

Depot

Depot is a Web-based tool that allows Northwestern faculty and students to upload files for easy storage and sharing with others.

Depot allows a user to control file sharing — a file can be private, shared with a user, a group of users, or published to the Web. Shared files can be read-only, or writable for collaborative work.

Publishing Departmental Web pages

Nuinfo, the centrally-managed Northwestern Web server houses the University's home pages, and many departmental Web sites. User accounts on nuinfo are for departmental and administrative use only.

If your department is interested in creating an official Web site, contact University Relations' Office of Web Communications.
