Lead Systems Analyst

The System Analyst Lead will also partner with the other IT teams and the University community on various projects.

IT Service Management Analyst

The ITSM team within the Technology Support Services unit is responsible for processes that cut across all our IT units, and we seek to help our customers and peers to be efficient, effective, and informed. In collaboration with the ITSM platform team, the ITSM Service Catalog and Knowledge Management Analyst will recommend and manage processes and procedures for adding, updating, and retiring services and service offerings within Northwestern IT’s service portfolio.  This role will also manage the design, creation, and maintenance of internal and external knowledge base articles to create a robust library of user guides, process documents, how-to guides, and other important knowledge artifacts.

Learning Technologist

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Act as Tier 3 support for the LMS and associated tools, whether developed at the university or by a commercial vendor.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot issues.
  • Provide documentation to users, as well as for Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 support regarding the LMS and learning apps.
  • Participate in testing of LMS updates.
  • Participate in testing and pilots of learning apps and other teaching tools.
  • Provide advice on LTI tools or learning apps that work with the LMS. Work to ensure that the LMS and learning apps work properly together.
  • Participate in communication with the LMS and learning app vendors.
  • Monitor the system and respond to alerts.
