Microsoft Planner

Microsoft Planner, is a project management platform within the Office 365 suite of products that enables users to create and manage plans and tasks on various ad-hoc projects. The tasks are arranged in a set of columns forming a visual board for a given project.

New plans can only be created in Microsoft Teams. Each Team may have multiple plans. 

Once created, plans can be viewed in the Planner Hub via the Office 365 waffle this is an image of the waffle button within Office 365 , however any collaboration to the plan such as assigning tasks, sharing files, chats, and progress updates can only be performed in the Team.
