Hosted by Northwestern Information Technology in partnership with the Office of Institutional Research, Administration and Planning, each one-hour presentation highlights a data management solution for harnessing data and revealing new insights.

Practical Applications for Parameter Actions and Maps in Tableau Desktop

This presentation will demonstrate the use of two tools in Tableau, which were developed by the Office of Sponsored Research (OSR) to support portfolio balancing across staff and office occupancy tracking during the return to work period. The Constituency Assignment and Assessment tool incorporates visualization to compare multiple scenarios; the second overlays a PDF of the floor plan with seating assignments and schedule data from Smartsheet.
