Research Computing Student Consultant

Deadline: Screening of applications will begin on September 18, 2020. Priority will be given to applicants who meet the screening deadline; however, the position will remain open until filled.

Eligibility: Northwestern University students

Location: The work will be remote until Jan. 4, 2021. Contingent upon safety measures, you might be required to work at Mudd building in 2021

Workload: 10 hours per week and flexible

Base wage: $13/hr

Northwestern IT Research Computing Services is looking for an undergraduate or a graduate student to support computational and data-enabled research at Northwestern. You will be collecting and analyzing high-performance computing utilization metrics data, developing training materials for new computational researchers, developing reports, and helping researchers with their computational work. We are a team of computational and data-enabled research specialists with diverse backgrounds and skills. We work together with Northwestern researchers and IT partners to help Northwestern faculty and students perform computational and data-enabled research across a wide breadth of research areas. You will be working closely with us to help support researchers across Northwestern.
