Network Connectivity

Northwestern provides a variety of ways for students, faculty, staff, and guests to connect to Northwestern resources, the Internet, and a variety of research networks. This includes both on-campus offerings as well as remote, secure access.

Wired Network Services

 Access the Northwestern Network with an Ethernet connection from on-campus offices, classrooms, residence halls, and other locations.

Northwestern provides four wireless networks to access the Internet. Each network is unique to University affiliation and device type.

The Northwestern Public Virtual Private Network (VPN) allows users with Northwestern NetIDs to access University network resources as if they were directly connected to the Northwestern network.
