Domain Name and Address Management (DNS/DHCP)
Domain Name Service (DNS) and Network Address Management (DHCP) are centrally managed for Northwestern’s IP address space.
DNS and DHCP services can be managed on your behalf or delegated to IT units throughout the University via a central system.

There is no cost to the end user.
How to Request Service
To request IP addresses or domain names, to make changes to existing DNS records, or to make changes to DHCP reservations and pools, please complete the Hostmaster Request form.
When completing the form, please remember to select the type of request you would like to make (Add, Change, Delete) and provide additional information as needed.
Multiple hostmaster requests may be submitted on one form.
