Service Offerings

High-Performance Computing (HPC)

Northwestern IT provides HPC resources and support for on-boarding researchers and troubleshooting workflows. Support is provided for XSEDE, cloud services, and the University's on-premise HPC cluster, Quest. Quest is available to Northwestern researchers through a research proposal process or purchasing of resources. Support for high-throughput computing and processing and analysis of large datasets is also provided.

Virtual Desktop

NUworkspace offers users a Windows virtual desktop with a suite of software applications for University work and research. Its purpose is to provide eligible faculty, students, and staff with access to scientific and statistical software packages that may not be readily available on their desktop/laptop computers, backed by sufficient computational resources for moderate interactive workloads.
