Northwestern Offers New Chat and Group Collaborative Tool – February 5

Northwestern now provides Microsoft Teams, a Cloud-based chat and group collaborative workspace, for students, faculty, and staff at no cost. Using Teams can help streamline everyday work tasks by providing collaborative tools all in one place.

Beginning February 5, students, faculty, and staff interested in using Teams may log in with their NetID and explore the platform at teams.microsoft.com. Users can immediately participate in one-to-one collaboration, view a list of teams where they are already a member, or search for public teams to join.

A team must be created by Northwestern IT. To request a new team, please submit the Collaboration Services Requests form. You will receive a confirmation from Northwestern IT once your team is ready to use.
