Northwestern Now Provides Tableau Server Reporting and Analytics Tool
Northwestern Information Technology (IT) now provides Tableau Server for use by University schools and departments wishing to share, distribute, and collaborate on data visualizations with other members of the University.
Tableau Server—a companion to Tableau Desktop—is an online reporting and analytics environment that enables faculty and staff to share interactive data visualizations created in Tableau Desktop with specified audiences through a secure portal.
“Sites” can be established within Tableau Server at appropriate organizational levels (schools, major units) and managed by local site administrators with central support from Northwestern IT. University schools and departments wishing to establish a Tableau site should contact the IT Support Center.
There is no cost to use Tableau Server, however schools and departments wishing to administer a Tableau site must have at least one Tableau Desktop license. Departments can purchase a Tableau Desktop license through Northwestern's online marketplace, iBuyNU.
