Social Sciences Computing Cluster Overview

The Social Sciences Computing Cluster (SSCC) supports the research and teaching activities of social sciences faculty and their graduate students. Customized for Northwestern researchers in the social sciences, the SSCC provides an advanced computational capability and a rich suite of analytical software applications.

The SSCC provides resources for University researchers to perform computational activities that are not available on standard desktop computers. Key reasons researchers may choose to use the SSCC include:

SSCC Funding

Recurring funding for the SSCC is provided by Office of the President, Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences, Kellogg School of Management, the School of Professional Studies, and Northwestern Information Technology.

Accessing the SSCC

A user account is required to access the SSCC. Accounts are available at no charge to Northwestern social sciences faculty researchers and to their graduate students, research assistants, and undergraduate students. Accounts for Affiliates not at Northwestern are also available. Accounts may be established by completing the SSCC Account request form.
