Phase Out the nwu.edu Domain

The University has been migrating from its original "nwu.edu" domain to the "northwestern.edu" domain since March 2000. In keeping with the published plan, the "nwu.edu" domain will be removed from University DNS services on June 20, 2005.
Note that this applies to all sub-domains as well, including:
- nwu.edu
- md.nwu.edu
- law.nwu.edu
- kellogg.nwu.edu
- alum.kellogg.nwu.edu
Impact on End User |
Any host computer that has continued to be addressed by a name within the "nwu.edu" domain will no longer be reachable under that name. Services from that computer may no longer be available within or outside of the University.
System administrators should begin using the corresponding "northwestern.edu" domain name for their host systems immediately to minimize the effect of this retirement.
