iPassConnect Services No Longer AvailablePosted Date: 26 Dec 2007 Effective Date: 26 Dec 2007 As of December 21, 2007, iPassConnect is no longer available due to an unforeseen service change from the vendor, Altoria Solutions. Faculty and staff traveling for University business will need to find an alternate remote Web service. There are a variety of options to access the Northwestern University Network from off-campus and users are encouraged to take advantage of the many access points available to business travelers for a small fee or no cost. Schools or departments can also set up a remote Web account through a vendor of their choice from a list of vendor options identified by NUIT. NUIT understands this has been an abrupt change in service and will continue best efforts support for iPassConnect. However, due to industry standards and the growing number of available Web access points, NUIT has decided to discontinue centrally provided remote Web access services.
Before traveling on University business, users should know which options their school or department has chosen and plan accordingly.
