Symantec Antivirus Upgrade Available

Symantec AntiVirus for Windows 10.1.6 (SAV) is now available from NUIT. Users are encouraged to download and install this version from the NUIT software pages.

For UNITS representatives, SAVCE for Windows 10.1.6 server software is also available for operating a Managed SAV Windows environment.

Users should download and install Symantec AntiVirus for Windows 10.1.6, available on the NUIT software pages, to ensure full virus protection and guard against known vulnerabilities of the previous version.

Please Note — When running the SAV installer, it is necessary to close all open applications.

Also, if your computer uses a managed version of SAV, you should not run the SAV upgrade installer. To find out if you are running managed SAV on your client, find General Information from the main SAV window. If the field called Parent Server has a entry other than None, you are running managed SAV.
