Tech Tips and Tunes: Northwestern IT Volunteers Connect with Evanston Seniors
Northwestern IT staff members visited Evanston's Levy Senior Center in September to offer lunchtime tech coaching. From phone tips to laptop assistance—and even helping someone snag ZZ Top tickets—the team had a great time connecting with attendees. Special thanks to Kate Leech, interim executive assistant to the vice president and CIO, for leading the initiative—in coordination with Northwestern’s Neighborhood and Community Relations team—along with volunteers Mike Dice, learning engineer lead in Teaching and Learning Technologies; Sophie van Genderen, computational specialist associate in Research Computing and Data Services; and Ivette Torres, learning technologist in Teaching and Learning Technologies.
Below, are some images from the volunteer event. If you are interested in participating in future opportunities, please send an email to it-communications@northwestern.edu.
