Adobe Connect Webconferencing Service to Retire August 31

The Adobe Connect webconferencing service, a web-based videoconferencing and lecture capture service used at Northwestern to host online meetings and classes, will be retired effective August 31, 2018.

Effective immediately no new accounts will be created. New users may request access to existing accounts until August 1, 2018.

Northwestern Information Technology (IT) is retiring the legacy system in favor of centrally-supported video capture management and videoconferencing tools including, Panopto, Blue Jeans, and WebEx.

Account holders are strongly encouraged to migrate existing content from Adobe Connect for future use in another platform before August 31, 2018. After this date, content remaining on the system will no longer be retrievable. Instructions are provided below:

Northwestern faculty and staff who need a tool for hosting online meetings should instead use one of the many available webconferencing options. For details, visit Conferencing Services.
