Technology Support During Winter Break

Northwestern IT is committed to ensuring that staff across our unit can enjoy time away during the 2023 winter break as broadly as possible. At the same time, we recognize our organization offers essential services that must continue 24/7. With that in mind, support for Northwestern services continues, and staff will be available during the break to assist, as needed, with essential services and critical support areas.

From December 22 through January 1, the campus community can contact 847-491-4357 (1-HELP) and dial “0” to reach the Service Operation Center for assistance, which will provide access to support staff who are on-call for urgent matters. Escalation will occur as appropriate to the respective staff, as required.

Before contacting 1-HELP, please consider visiting the IT Service Management Portal to find the IT information, resources, and support you may need. The portal is a gateway to four essential areas of IT assistance: IT Service Catalog, IT Knowledge Base, Technology Support Tickets, and IT Service Status.

Thank you to everyone who will be on-site during this period or monitoring and responding to critical issues remotely. Our normal operations will resume on January 2, 2024.
