DataCamp Online Courses

Overview

DataCamp is an online service with dozens of self-paced, interactive courses on using R, Python, and SQL for data analysis.

DataCamp subscriptions are funded by Research Computing Services, Kellogg School of Management, and Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences.

Access for Researchers

PhD students, faculty, and postdocs interested in learning or improving their data analysis skills in support of their research are eligible for access.  Undergraduates, master's degree students, and staff may request access if engaged in a relevant research project with a faculty sponsor or supervisor, or via special arrangement.

Space is limited. Access is provisioned on a quarterly basis.

Winter Quarter access is full.  Spring Quarter access is dependent on the availability of additional funding.

If you have not used DataCamp before, to request access for Spring Quarter (pending funding), prepare by doing the following:

  1. Create a DataCamp account
  2. Do one of the following:

If access is available for Spring Quarter, a link to the application form will be added here and a message will be sent to the NUIT-Research listserv.

Access for Coursework

DataCamp can be used for free as part of a university course.  Instructors can request access for their students.  See https://www.datacamp.com/groups/education for details.
