Northwestern Information Technology Releases 2018 Statement of Direction

Seven key priorities headline Northwestern Information Technology’s 2018 Statement of Direction, which was made available today to the University community. The strategy accounts for a number of critical factors, aligns with the University’s priorities, and establishes key focus areas and activities that will guide the organization’s direction for the next 12–18 months.

In a message to IT staff and technology leaders across Northwestern, Sean Reynolds, vice president for information technology and chief information officer, highlighted the start of the fiscal year as an ideal time to evaluate the IT organization’s direction to ensure that staff are promoting a culture of collaboration and positively impacting University partners.

The strategy also intentionally focuses on other foundational efforts that are crucial to Northwestern IT’s ability to continue driving institutional success, including fostering a culture of IT service excellence and investing in professional development for its staff.
