The Teaching and Learning Technologies team supports instructors in their use of the Canvas Learning Management System through individual consultations and workshops as well as expert course development guidance. We promote innovation and collaborate with other units to support digital accessibility initiatives and inclusive teaching and active learning practices. We also host the annual TEACHx conference to showcase academic excellence and experiments in teaching with technology.

Canvas Accessibility Project
To guide and support instructors as they bring their learning materials and course sites into compliance with Northwestern’s digital accessibility policy, Teaching and Learning Technologies, along with its partners AccessibleNU and the Office of Civil Rights and Title IX Compliance, lead the Canvas Accessibility Project. The project team works directly with faculty to address and incorporate seven core skills into their course sites via the Mission: Accessible challenge. Instructors and staff who complete the challenge are featured on the Mission: Accessible Wall of Fame.
Educational Technology Fellows
The Educational Technology Fellows (Ed Tech Fellows) is a collaborative group of like-minded instructors that explore the use of technology to foster enhanced learning experiences. Faculty and instructional staff from across Northwestern work towards pedagogical projects that involve technology to help enhance their teaching. Learn how you can get involved.
